When you are using satellite internet or satellite cable, you need a dish that will catch the signals from the actual satellites so you can use to connect to the internet or watch cable. Of course, you probably start this search by looking at providers rather than the satellite. Instead of comparing the dishes themselves, for example, you might start by comparing DISH Network deals.

However, this prioritization doesn’t make choosing the satellite itself any less important. In fact, finding the best satellite can be the difference between spotty and reliable coverage.

When you are traveling, though, you need a different type of satellite dish and Latino Internet accessed by your DISH. For instance, you need something that is easy to set up and smaller than a standard home satellite dish. In this article, we are going to take a look at some of your best options when you are looking for a satellite to use during travel.

1. Winegard Pathway X2

First up on our list is the Winegard Pathway X2. Winegard is a well-trusted band of satellite dishes and this one is no different. This satellite dish is perfect for RVs thanks to its easy installation - Winegard swears you can have it up and out of the box in less than 12 minutes!

If you’re worried about coverage with this satellite, don’t be. This satellite is used by DISH but it works with SD, HD, and pay-as-you-go programs so you don’t have to worry about limited options. It also picks up on western and eastern satellite arcs so the coverage you get is the best possible.

2. King VQ4100 Quest Portable Satellite

The next satellite dish on our list is the King VQ4100. This dish is incredibly compact, weighing in at only 8 pounds. The great thing is that it can be used as a portable antenna but if you ever decide to stop traveling, you can mount it to a roof.

3. Satellite Oasis Directv Satellite Dish

Directv also has a satellite dish that you can use on-the-go. Instead of strapping this to your RV, though, this satellite dish sits on a tripod, making it perfect for camping or tailgating. The satellite is also only 18 inches, so it doesn’t take up too much space either. This satellite can receive standard definition programming and is compatible with most Directv receivers.

4. DISH Tailgater Pro Satellite Antenna

Much like the King satellite we looked at earlier, the DISH Tailgater Pro Satellite Antenna is a small, covered satellite that is easy to maneuver. You can use it as a portable dish or you can mount it to the roof with the included mounting feet.

Setting this up isn’t difficult either. Once you set it up, it will automatically locate and receive a signal from DISH satellites. It is also weather resistant, so you should be able to get a signal almost anywhere you go without worrying about satellite damage from the weather.

5. Winegard RT2000T Roadtrip Satellite Dish

As we stated earlier, Winegard is a very trusted brand when it comes to satellites. That’s why our final satellite dish is another Winegard option - the Winegard RT2000T Roadtrip Satellite Dish. This is a particularly good dish for travel because it is an in-motion satellite, meaning you can use it in your RV even if you aren’t stopped.

On the more technical side of travel, it is also rather compact. Like other satellites we’ve looked at on this list, this a domed satellite. In addition, it’s a manageable size - only 16 pounds. With a simple one button automatic operation, you won’t have any trouble getting it set up either.
