Why Men should get Pedicures

Have you ever sat on the couch or hung out with your guy friends, and looked down to see something that resembles a sasquatch's feet? Well, I have... and let me tell you, it's not pretty. Feet, in general, are quite disgusting, and maybe that’s just a personal feeling, but toes creep me out, and unkempt ones are the worse.

Now, I have two brothers, both very manly athletes who grew up in the mountains and have no concept of beauty routines. I understand those of you who don’t understand (or don’t have the desire to) the necessity of men getting their toes done. Ok so I’m obviously not talking polish and all, but this simple task can go a long way. Pedicures for men not only enhance the appearance of the feet, meaning if you’re a flip-flop guy it’s a little more acceptable (I said a little), but they also reduce the chances for ingrown toenails, as well as painful calluses.

Another reason why you men out there who are stubborn and have yet to participate in pedicures should go ahead and try it out is that it can help reduce stress. The feet have all sorts of nerves and links into the back, and if your job requires you to sit for numerous hours or stand, your back can begin to hold up a lot of tension. So a foot massage might be just the thing for you.

On the more shallow end of the spectrum, men should begin to get their weekly (or even monthly if you’d rather) pedicures because it makes you look like you care about your appearance... and as shallow as it is, that is an attractive feature. Men who care about their appearance come off as more attractive because personal health means they are able to take on responsibilities, and in turn take care of you. So yes, basically what I am saying is by getting a pedicure and making yourself look cleaned up, will make you more of a hit at the bar.

If you’re a beginner or regularly get a pedicure, download the Mobile Styles app and use the code lookbookcf18 to get $50 off your first appointment. That way for those of you who are embarrassed to be seen at a salon can get your feet taken care of from the comfort of your own home.
